    Kau'ilani

    Founder - Lead Certified Instructor

    Kau'ilani has been training in various martial arts for over 26 years, mastering disciplines such as Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Kajukenbo, Muay Thai, Kali, Krav Maga, Judo, and tactical training. His passion for martial arts drives him to continually improve and share his knowledge with others. Kau'ilani has had the privilege of being mentored by some of the greatest martial artists, including Sijo Emperado and the Gracies, which has shaped his dedication to self-defense and the philosophy that accompanies it. A proud father and husband, Kau'ilani feels truly blessed by Jesus to serve and uplift his community through the art of martial training. His commitment to fostering confidence and resilience in his students is evident in every class he teaches.

    Trevor - AKA: The Golden Retriever

    Certified Instructor

    Trevor has been training in Jiu-Jitsu for several years, developing a deep passion for self-defense and MMA fighting that inspired him to join Origins Combatives as a certified instructor. Trevor is dedicated to empowering both adults and children through martial arts education. His enthusiastic and approachable "Golden Retriever" personality makes learning enjoyable and engaging for all his students. With a focus on building confidence and skills, Trevor is committed to creating a supportive environment where everyone can thrive on their martial arts journey. He is also the Co-Founder of Hit Squad Defense.

    Certified Junior Instructor

    Erika has been practicing Jiu-Jitsu since she was just 7 years old, discovering that it was a powerful way to slow her mind and focus on something she truly loves. With a passion for teaching, she enjoys working with kids and witnessing their growth, both in techniques and in character development. Erika is dedicated to creating a fun and playful environment where young students can learn discipline and self-confidence while honing their martial arts skills. Her enthusiasm for Jiu-Jitsu shines through in every class, inspiring the next generation of practitioners to embrace the art with joy and commitment.
